Wisconsin Association of Computer Crime Investigators

Jim Luty Award

The Wisconsin Association of Computer Crime Investigators is proud to announce the offer of equipment and/or training to a member of WACCI. WACCI member Jim Luty has graciously offered this opportunity to a member of the law enforcement community who is in need of equipment or training in the pursuit of computer forensics. Jim has a background working with departments in the early stages of their computer forensic work and is familiar with their needs. It was this background that prompted his generous offer. If you are a member or prospective member of WACCI that would meet this criteria, submit an application to a WACCI board member. Applicants should anticipate some ongoing communication with WACCI regarding their new equipment or training, should they be selected. Applications should be filed by September 12, 2010 and endorsed by a supervisor of the applicant. The award winner will receive up to $5000.00 toward their equipment/training. We anticipate the award being presented at the WACCI Conference in October, 2010. An application form is available on the WACCI website.
